Art on the Prom is an outdoor event so there are certain items you should make sure you’ve got with you.
- Cable ties. These are ideal for hanging frames on Heras fencing
- A card reader to take payments and additional batteries for any mobile devices as there are no charging facilities
- Be prepared to take cash and have a float for change. Bum bags are useful
- Business cards to promote yourself and your work
- Packaging to make your artwork easy to take home once sold
- A comments book/pen and paper to take down customers’ details
- A friend – an extra pair of hands to help and keep you company
Other things to consider:
- Prepare for all weather. It may be hot, windy or wet
- Bring a re-useable water bottle
- Water stations and toilets will be indicated on the Love Felixstowe map which you’ll be given
- There may be queues for food stands, so bring food and water if you will be alone
- You will need to leave your panel clear of fixings and rubbish. Please make sure you bring scissors and a rubbish bag to remove fixings and unwanted items
- Please take litter with you when you leave
Finally, come with plenty of enthusiasm and patience – it’s a long day not everyone is going to buy.
